Porter Creek 2007 Mendocino County Old Vine Carignane
We opened this lovely red wine from Healdsburg, CA about a week ago. Honestly, I thought I smelled dairy farm in it. At this suggestion, my husband picked up a hay scent, but I smelled dairy farm, manure and all. Luckily, I gave it some time, because it's wonderful now. Nice and jammy with medium tannins. Probably would age a while longer, but definitely drinkable now. Just remember to let it breathe first!
